What “10% of cash collected” really pays month by month
Commission on cash collected pays on a completely different curve than commission on contract value. When deals close on payment plans, the first months look nothing like the run rate. Here's the actual curve.
On a cash-collected comp plan, month one is just deposits, so the payout starts small and ramps as installments from earlier deals stack up. This calculator models that ramp from deal size, deals per month, commission rate, deposit, plan length, and collection rate, and shows the run rate the plan actually settles into — useful whether you're setting the comp plan or being paid on it.
It also prices what failed cards cost. Every installment that never collects is commission earned on a deal that already closed, and revenue the business never banked. Auto-billing with retries and dunning protects both, which is exactly what Offry does when a deal goes out as an offer.
Commission dies when installments don't collect
Offry auto-bills every installment on the card saved at the deposit, with retries and dunning, so the commission modelled here stays close to the commission that actually lands — and the cash behind it actually arrives.
