Offry is operated by MZED Studio Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15854033), with its registered office at 8 Eastfield Close, Townhill, Swansea, Wales, SA1 6SG. In this Policy, "Offry", "we", "us", and "our" refer to MZED Studio Limited acting in its capacity as operator of the Offry service.
What this is
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the businesses, products, services, and behaviours that are not allowed on Offry. It exists for three reasons: to keep the platform aligned with the rules of our payments partner Stripe and the card networks that ultimately move the money; to protect prospects from misleading, predatory, or unsafe offers; and to keep Offry usable for the legitimate high-ticket creators we built it for.
The Stripe Connect platform we sit on top of maintains its own prohibited and restricted businesses list. This AUP mirrors that list and adds further categories and behaviours that, while not necessarily prohibited by Stripe, are inconsistent with how Offry is meant to be used. Where this AUP is stricter than Stripe's list, our rules apply. Where Stripe's list is stricter, Stripe's rules apply. You are responsible for being aware of both.
The lists in this Policy are representative, not exhaustive. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account whose use of Offry presents legal, financial, regulatory, or reputational risk to MZED Studio Limited, to other users, to prospects, or to our payments partners, even if the specific activity is not enumerated here.
Who this applies to
This AUP applies to every Creator with an Offry account and every person acting under that account, including owners, admins, closers, and anyone else granted access. Creators remain responsible for the conduct of their team members and for ensuring those team members understand and follow this Policy.
It also applies to anyone using Offry's APIs, webhook integrations, branded prospect portals, or any other part of the Service.
How this relates to the Terms
This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaching this AUP is a breach of the Terms.
In the event of a conflict between this AUP and the Terms, the Terms govern, except for matters relating to permitted and prohibited business activity, prospect communications, and offer content, where this AUP governs.
Updates to this Policy
Because regulatory expectations, card-network rules, and known abuse patterns change faster than our Terms, we maintain the right to update this AUP on shorter notice than the Terms.
We will give Creators at least 7 days' notice of material additions or expansions of prohibited categories, by in-app notification or email to the account owner. Clarifications, examples, and reorderings that do not expand the scope of restriction may take effect immediately. In either case, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the current version.
If we add a category that affects your existing business and you do not wish to accept the change, you may close your account before it takes effect. Payments already scheduled in your Stripe account continue to run regardless.
Sanctioned jurisdictions and high-risk persons
You must not use Offry, and you must not knowingly accept payments through Offry from, anyone located in, resident in, ordinarily based in, or a national of:
- Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk, or Luhansk regions.
- Any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions enforced by the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, or United Nations.
You must not transact with any person or entity named on a restricted-parties list maintained by the UK, EU, US (including OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and the US Department of Commerce Denied Persons List and Entity List), or UN.
If you reasonably believe a prospect is in a sanctioned jurisdiction or on a restricted list, do not send the offer. If you only become aware after sending, cancel the offer immediately and email legal@offry.co.
Prohibited businesses
You must not use Offry to sell, promote, or accept payments for any of the following. Each item is representative of a broader category; the absence of a specific example does not imply permission.
Illegal goods, services, and activities
- Anything illegal in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of your prospect.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, substances designed to mimic illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or courses and information primarily for cultivating, manufacturing, or using controlled substances.
- Fake identification documents, fake references, or services that create them.
- Telecommunications-manipulation equipment, signal jammers, and similar devices.
- Goods or services that promote, encourage, or celebrate unlawful violence or harm to people, animals, or property, including content targeting any group based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other protected or immutable characteristic.
Adult content and adult services

- Escort services, pay-per-view adult content, sexual massage, fetish services, mail-order brides, adult live chat, and similar.
- Adult-content subscription platforms or pay-to-unlock libraries.
Get-rich-quick, MLM, and deceptive-marketing offers
- "Get rich quick" schemes, "make money online" programs, and any offer that promises high financial rewards for low effort or upfront work.
- Multilevel marketing services, downline recruitment, and any compensation structure based primarily on recruiting other sellers rather than selling to end users.
- Pyramid schemes and chain-referral structures.
- Offers that make outrageous earnings claims, use fabricated or paid-for testimonials, use high-pressure upselling tactics, or present unrealistic incentives as inducements to buy.
- "No-value-added" services, for example repackaging publicly available information, reselling third-party services without meaningful additional benefit, or reselling government offerings without authorisation.
- Negative-option marketing, "free trials" with hidden auto-renewal, and pricing structures designed to obscure the total amount the prospect will pay.
- Predatory investment opportunities with low or no money down, and any pitch built around guaranteed or "risk-free" returns.
Outbound telemarketing and door-to-door sales
- Offry is built for consultative high-ticket sales conversations initiated by the prospect or by warm inbound interest. It is not for outbound cold-call telemarketing operations or door-to-door sales.
- You must not use Offry to collect payments arising from outbound cold-call campaigns to consumers who did not request the contact, automated dialler campaigns, or door-to-door sales operations.
- This restriction does not prevent you from using Offry on scheduled sales calls or video calls with prospects who have opted in, booked the call, or expressed prior interest.
Debt, credit, and identity services
- Debt settlement, debt negotiation, debt consolidation, and debt-relief services.
- Credit repair, credit monitoring, and credit-counselling services.
- Identity-theft protection services, including monitoring and recovery.

- Funded-prop-trading firms.
- Peer-to-peer money transmission, payable-through accounts, and sale of bearer shares.
- Loan repayments collected via card.
- Debt-collection agencies.
Cryptocurrency and stored-value goods
- Cryptocurrency mining and staking services.

- Secondary-market NFT sales.
- Gift cards, virtual credits, in-game currency you do not operate, and stored-value products issued by third parties.
Travel categories Stripe does not support
- Commercial airlines and cruises.
- International (cross-border) charter and private airline services.
- Timeshare services.
Other prohibited categories
- Sale of online traffic, engagement, followers, reviews, or ratings.
- Government services offered without proper authorisation or without genuine value added.
- Embassies, consulates, and government-economic-support disbursements.
- Bail bonds and bankruptcy attorneys collecting client funds.
- Law firms collecting client funds for purposes other than legal-service fees.
- Predatory mortgage consulting and suspicious remote technical-support services.
- Pseudo-pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals making harmful, unproven, or unsafe claims.
- Counterfeit goods, unlicensed sale or distribution of music, film, software, or branded products, and any offer that infringes another party's trademark, patent, copyright, trade-secret, or privacy rights.
Restricted businesses
The categories below require explicit written approval from Offry before you may use the Service to sell into them. We may grant, refuse, or revoke approval at any time. Even after approval, you remain subject to Stripe's separate approval for these categories at the connected-account level.
To request approval, email legal@offry.co with a description of your business, your target customer, sample offer content, and any licences or authorisations you hold.
- Content creation platforms that host or distribute third-party content and enable creators to receive content-related tips or sell exclusive content. Individual content creators selling their own content do not need approval, but must comply with the rest of this AUP.
- Crowdfunding, fundraising, and charitable solicitation. Including reward-based crowdfunding, equity crowdfunding, charity sweepstakes and raffles, and fundraising for charitable purposes.
- Dating, matchmaking, and companionship services.
- Cannabidiol (CBD) products within local legal THC limits. Cannabis and cannabis-related businesses remain prohibited.
- Cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets, and businesses whose primary activity is dealing in cryptocurrency.
- Lending services offered by you to third parties. This restriction does not apply to installment plans you offer your own customers for your own goods or services (see §9).
- Money transmitters, remittance, currency exchange, and other money-service businesses.
- Buy-now-pay-later services offered as a third-party financier. Note: Offry's installments feature is not BNPL; the Creator is the seller and extends payment terms to its own customer. Offering third-party-financed BNPL to your prospects (where someone other than you is the lender) is restricted.
- Investment, brokerage, and securities-related services, including real-estate investment offerings.
- Mortgage consulting, neobanks, challenger banks, escrow services, and other financial services Stripe classifies as restricted.
- Firearms and other weapons where legal in your jurisdiction. Where illegal, prohibited.
- Online pharmacies, prescription-only products, prescription-only or regulated medical devices, prescription delivery, telemedicine, and telehealth.
- Tobacco, e-cigarettes, e-liquid, and related production equipment.
- High-value goods, precious metals, and precious stones, and first-party NFT minting and sales.
- Domestic charter air travel, travel reservation services, and travel clubs.
- Payment facilitation and aggregation: receiving settlement proceeds on behalf of third-party sellers for goods or services you did not provide.
- Cyberlocker and file-sharing services.
- Sectors subject to jurisdiction-specific Stripe restrictions. Stripe maintains additional country-specific prohibitions for India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. You are responsible for being aware of restrictions that apply to your jurisdiction. The full list is at stripe.com/legal/restricted-businesses.
Prohibited offer content
The following content rules apply to every offer sent through Offry, regardless of business category, including offers in otherwise-permitted categories.
- No guaranteed-outcome language. You must not promise specific financial returns, income amounts, weight loss, body composition, health outcomes, romantic outcomes, or any other result that depends on factors outside your control. "Likely", "typical", and "case-study" framing are acceptable when supported by genuine data.
- No fabricated, paid, incentivised, or unverifiable testimonials. Testimonials must come from real, identifiable customers who consented to their use. Composite testimonials must be disclosed as such.
- No bait-and-switch or hidden-fee pricing. The total amount the prospect will pay, including any installment schedule, late terms, and recurring charges, must be clear on the offer page before payment.
- No misrepresentation of price, scope, deliverables, timeline, or credentials. What the prospect sees on the offer page must match what you intend to deliver.
- No offers for goods or services you cannot deliver. This includes "presale" of products that do not yet exist, programs you have not built, or capacity you do not have, unless the prospect is clearly informed of the presale status and the realistic delivery timeline.
- No urgency-manipulation that misstates facts. Real expiring offers (the core of how Offry works) are fine. Fake countdowns, fake "spots left" counters, or invented scarcity are not.
- Truthful representation of risk, refund policy, and cancellation terms. Your refund and cancellation policy must be visible on the offer page or linked from it, and you must honour what you publish.
Installment plan requirements
Offry's installment feature is structured so that you are the seller and you extend the payment schedule to your customer for your goods or services. Offry provides the software that runs the schedule and Stripe runs the payments. Offry is not a lender, credit broker, credit intermediary, or financier of any kind, and does not originate, purchase, or service loans.
You are responsible for compliance with all applicable consumer-credit, lending, disclosure, and advertising laws in the jurisdictions where you and your prospects are located. We strongly recommend independent legal advice before offering installments to consumers (as distinct from business buyers).
When you offer an installment plan through Offry, the following rules apply:
- Installment count and schedule limits. Offry caps the maximum number of installments and the maximum schedule length per offer. These limits are published in the product documentation and may change. The limits exist to keep installment plans within consumer-credit exemptions in our supported jurisdictions.
- United Kingdom. If you are established in the UK or your prospect is a UK consumer, your installment plan must be interest-free, must charge no admin fees, no late-payment fees, no default fees, and no other charges, and must be repayable within 12 months over no more than 12 instalments. These conditions preserve the merchant-financed-credit exemption under Article 60F(2) of the UK Regulated Activities Order. If you wish to charge interest or fees, or extend beyond 12 months, you may need FCA authorisation and you must not use Offry's installments feature to do so until you have it.
- United States. If you offer five or more installments, or you apply any finance charge, to a consumer (a person buying for personal, family, or household purposes), your plan is consumer credit under the Truth in Lending Act and you must provide the disclosures Regulation Z requires. Business-to-business transactions are generally outside TILA, but the line is yours to assess. Offry will not provide TILA disclosure language and is not your compliance partner for this.
- European Union, EEA, Australia, and other jurisdictions. Local consumer-credit and BNPL regulation varies. You are responsible for assessing whether your installment plan triggers licensing, disclosure, or registration obligations where your prospect is located.
- No retroactive schedule changes. Once a prospect has accepted an offer with an installment schedule, you may not change the schedule, the total amount, or the payment dates without the prospect's clear consent recorded through Offry.
- No interest, late fees, or default charges added inside Offry, regardless of jurisdiction. If your business model requires those, Offry's installments feature is not the right tool for your offer.
- Honour cancellations and refunds. If a prospect cancels in line with your published policy or applicable cooling-off law, you must process the cancellation and any refund of installments paid through Stripe.
Communications and prospect requirements
When you send an offer through Offry, you are communicating with another person. The following rules apply to that communication.
- Lawful basis for contacting each prospect. You must have a lawful basis under applicable privacy and electronic-marketing law (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, PECR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, Australia's Spam Act, and any other equivalent law in the prospect's jurisdiction) to send a transactional offer to that prospect. In practice this usually means the prospect requested the offer, was on a call with you and agreed to receive it, or has a pre-existing relationship with your business.
- No unsolicited mass-sending. You must not use Offry to send offers to lists of prospects who have not consented to receive commercial communications from you. Cold offers to scraped, purchased, or otherwise non-opted-in lists are not permitted, regardless of the prospect's jurisdiction.
- No sending to minors. You must not knowingly send an offer to a person under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher). If you sell to families or households, the named recipient must be an adult.
- No offers to sanctioned-jurisdiction prospects. See §5.
- Accurate information. The prospect's name and email as entered must be the actual prospect, not a placeholder, not yourself, and not a third party who has not consented to receive the offer.
- Honour opt-outs. If a prospect asks to stop receiving offers from you, stop. If they ask for their data to be deleted, follow the process in our Privacy Policy.
Platform integrity
The following uses of Offry are not permitted regardless of business category.
- No fee circumvention. You may not route payments outside Offry for offers that were created, sent, negotiated, or substantially developed using Offry, for the purpose of avoiding the platform fee.
- No multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, or attribution. One business uses one Offry account. If you operate multiple distinct businesses with separate Stripe accounts, separate accounts are permitted; using multiple accounts for the same business is not.
- No fraudulent transactions or money laundering. This includes processing transactions that are not genuine sales, using Offry to test stolen card details (card testing), processing on behalf of another undisclosed business, or facilitating sanctions evasion.
- No transactions without a genuine good or service. Every payment must correspond to a real product or service you intend to deliver.
- No evasion of card-network chargeback or fraud monitoring. This includes deliberately splitting transactions to stay under monitoring thresholds, manipulating refund timing to suppress chargeback ratios, or moving disputed customers to side channels.
- No reverse-engineering, scraping (other than via APIs we publish), probing for vulnerabilities without authorisation, or otherwise abusing the Service.
- No use of Offry to build or train a competing product, or to extract bulk data for a competing product.
- No misrepresentation of your identity, business, or the nature of your offers to Offry, to Stripe, or to your prospects.
- No use of Offry intellectual property (name, logo, marks, screenshots, copy) in a way that implies endorsement by or affiliation with Offry, or in a way that harms the Offry brand. Honest, factual references ("I use Offry to send offers") are fine.
Reporting violations
If you believe an Offry account is being used in breach of this AUP (for example, you received an offer you did not ask for, an offer that appears fraudulent, an offer in a clearly prohibited category, or you are the rights-holder of content being misused), email legal@offry.co with as much detail as you can share. We review every report and respond within a reasonable time.
Suspected security vulnerabilities should go to legal@offry.co.
Enforcement
If we identify a breach of this AUP, we may, in our discretion and depending on severity:
- Ask you to remove, edit, or stop sending the offending offers.
- Pause new offer creation while we investigate.
- Hold pending payouts in line with Stripe's standard Connect controls.
- Suspend your account.
- Terminate your account and report the activity to Stripe and, where required, to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.
Where reasonably practical and not prohibited by law or by an urgent risk, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy a breach before terminating. Suspensions or freezes that originate with Stripe follow Stripe's timeline, which we cannot override. Termination for breach of this AUP does not entitle you to a refund of platform fees already deducted on collected revenue.
You remain responsible for installment plans already running in your Stripe account after termination. Payment schedules created in Stripe continue to run there independently of your Offry account.
